– This decision is not technological, but strictly political. The decision-making center is therefore not the Ministry of Digitization. US bans TikTok?

On December 19, it reported that so far 19 of the 50 US states have at least partially blocked access to TikTok on government computers. However, some members of Congress believe that the app should be banned nationwide. On the same day, TikTok issued a statement expressing its disappointment “that so many states are succumbing to the political fashion to pursue policies based on baseless lies.”

As the agency points out, talks regarding the national security pact, conducted between American officials and TikTok, have been going on for months. The application is used by over 100 million users in the country.
