The manufacturer of the Belarusian laptop spoke about the competition with the MacBook

The head of the Minsk laptop manufacturer Predko called the advantages of H-book in comparison with the MacBook

The Belarusian laptop H-book MAK4 does not yet reach the level of the American MacBook, but the manufacturer is trying to follow the technologies of the American company in order to compete with it in the future. Yury Predko, General Director of OAO Gorizont Holding Management Company, spoke about this on the air of the STV channel.

As advantages of the product, he named small thickness and weight, a large number of connectors, viewing angle of 178 degrees. Predko also said that the Minsk company had developed its own BIOS and corrected the errors identified by trading companies.

“In general, the team believes that this is a very worthy product. And it doesn’t heat up, it’s silent,” the head of Horizon emphasized. According to him, you can buy a novelty for 1.5 thousand Belarusian rubles (almost 40 thousand Russian rubles), which is much cheaper than a MacBook.

The start of production of Belarusian laptops became known at the end of December, but the head of state Alexander Lukashenko demonstrated it on September 1st. Then he admitted that only 12 percent of components are produced in the republic, but he expressed hope that by the end of the year the figure could be increased to 30 percent.

At the same time, the device could not be bought in Belarusian stores three days after the start of sales. The stores were unable to specify when the H-book MAK4 will hit the shelves again.
