Apple smartphones will fall in price in 2023 due to poor iPhone 14 Plus sales
Apple will revise the pricing policy for its smartphones due to poor sales of launch devices. This is reported by a well-known insider under the nickname yeux1122 on the Naver blog.
According to the specialist, Apple noticed the poor sales of the iPhone 14 Plus and decided that the next low-cost device in the series will be available at a reduced price. So, if the 14 Plus was priced at $899, then its successor, the iPhone 15 Plus, will cost $799. Thus, the device can be of interest to a large audience.
In his message, yeux1122 noted that the IT giant may also lower prices for the launch model of smartphones. In this case, the iPhone 15 may be priced not at $799, but at $699.
The insider stressed that in 2023, Apple will continue to separate two categories of smartphones – launch models and premium flagships. The top models, which will presumably be the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max and 15 Ultra, will receive the most powerful processor and advanced camera.
Earlier, Digital Trends journalists said that the iPhone 14 Plus failed in sales due to the high price and competitive models. Experts noted that the device turned out to be too expensive for consumers of compromise smartphones.
