So, for a week, the iPhone 14 Pro Max with a 256 gigabyte drive has risen in price by almost a quarter – by 24 percent. The cost of the flagship device on the market has reached 133,903 rubles.

Phones from other brands have also risen in price. The cost of Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with a 256 GB drive was 72,163 rubles – an increase of 9 percent, Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro with 8/128 GB of memory – 17,237 rubles, that is, plus 7 percent.

Loganov noted that prices for top smartphones usually change in spring, summer and New Year’s Eve. For the first time this year, phones went up in price in February: for example, in the period from February 20 to February 27, the cost of the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 256 gigabytes of memory reached almost 116 thousand rubles (an increase of 7 percent). The experts also noted that prices for some devices dropped in autumn and winter after the release of new flagships.

Earlier, Izvestia’s sources said that the smartphone market in Russia fell for the first time in seven years. At the end of the year, 24-26.5 million smartphones were sold, which is 20 percent less than in 2021.
