GSM Arena: Realme GT Neo 5 Phone Gets 240W Fast Charging
The Chinese company Realme has announced the appearance of a smartphone with record charging. This is reported by the publication GSM Arena.
Journalists drew attention to the teaser of the new Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone, which the company published on Weibo. Judging by the image, the device will have support for fast charging with a power of 240 watts. Other characteristics of the device are not disclosed. The presentation of the gadget is scheduled for January 5, 2023.
According to the authors, the GT Neo 3 currently has the fastest charge – 150 watts. The company is expected to release two versions of the Realme GT Neo 5: the model with a 4600mAh battery will receive a 240W charge, the device with a 5000mAh battery will get 150W. The flagship device is expected to be powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
Currently, the fastest charging phone on the market is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer. The device received a battery with a capacity of 4300 milliamp-hours with a 210-watt charger. According to Xiaomi representatives, the smartphone can be charged up to 100 percent in 9 minutes.
At the end of the year, Izvestia’s sources said that the smartphone market in Russia fell for the first time in seven years. In the top of the most popular phones among Russians were Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung devices.
