A well-known insider under the nickname Ice Universe revealed the date of the announcement of new Samsung smartphones. The specialist stated this in his Twitter.

According to the author, the Korean corporation will introduce new flagship devices of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series on February 1, 2023. He noted that Samsung will hold a traditional Galaxy Unpacked presentation.

If the insider’s suspicions are correct, then Samsung will not delay the presentation of the current flagships, as previously reported. According to the specialist, it is important for the Korean corporation to show new devices as early as possible so that the brand line includes devices based on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

Also available to Ice Universe turned out to be test results of new flagships in Geekbench5. The author noted that none of the new Galaxy S23 smartphones beat the 5000 score in multi-core tests – the author called this feature disappointing. An insider suggested that Samsung reduces the number of radiators in the phone for the sake of economy, which negatively affects the performance of the gadget.
