Android Authority: Samsung Galaxy smartphones were the worst devices of the year
The journalists of the Android Authority edition listed the most disastrous smartphones of the year. This was reported on the media website.
According to the authors of the portal, Samsung Galaxy phones were on the list of the worst – because of the scandal with the Game Optimizing Service (GOS). This option limited the performance of devices without the knowledge of users. The authors also attributed Google Pixel 6 devices to the worst releases of the year, which, due to a bug, had problems connecting to Wi-Fi.
The list of disappointing devices included BlackBerry phones. The brand owner, Onward Mobility, said that it would release the first BlackBerry smartphone with 5G by the end of the year, but did not fulfill its promise. Experts also called Sony and Asus brands the worst gadgets, as manufacturers promised consumers only two years of support for Android updates.
In conclusion, the authors noted the failure of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor – more precisely, problems with a decrease in performance. The journalists also recalled the unfulfilled promises of HTC to release the first flagship smartphone that could work in the metaverses.
Previously, experts from the DxOMark laboratory found out how the always-on display mode affects the autonomy of a smartphone. According to experts, with the Always on Display function, smartphones are discharged three to five times faster.
