Bloomberg: Apple intends to introduce monitors with ARM chips in 2023

Apple intends to introduce a line of monitors with built-in chips. It is reported by Bloomberg.

According to insider Mark Gurman, the American company expects to release several new monitors. The difference between the devices and similar gadgets on the market will be the processor. The monitors will replace the external Pro Display XDR screens released in 2019.

Gurman noted that the US IT giant has advanced in the development of its own ARM processors and computers, and therefore intends to expand the line. The chip built into the monitor will perform some of the functions of the device without consuming the resources of the computer connected to it. Apparently, the device will be aimed at professional users – like the Pro Display XDR.

The specialist clarified that the first Apple monitor with an integrated processor will be released in 2023. However, even earlier, the company intends to introduce an updated Mac Pro, which will be based on the modern M-series processor. Also in 2023, Apple may announce at least two new models of the Mac mini portable computer.

At the end of September, Intel announced plans to establish partnerships with Apple. To renew the partnership, Intel must develop processors powerful enough to satisfy the customer, a source at the corporation said.
