Xiaomi accused of copying Apple

According to Ron Amadeo, the author of the publication, the new Xiaomi flagship is visually very similar to the current Apple smartphone. Amadeo noted that the designers of the Chinese corporation were clearly inspired by the appearance of the iPhone 14 Pro. The author stated that Xiaomi 13 has flat edges, buttons and colors similar to those of Apple’s flagship.

“Xiaomi 13 is more interesting than Xiaomi 13 Pro because – hey, look, it’s an iPhone!” the journalist concluded. According to a specialist who accused Xiaomi of copying, the Chinese IT giant was previously inspired by the design of the iPhone, transferring it to its devices. “Though I’m still shocked that no OEM has copied Dynamic Island yet,” Amadeo said.

The journalist stressed that Xiaomi is not afraid of accusations from Apple, because its smartphones will never be sold in the US. At the same time, the flagship Xiaomi 13 series will go on sale in Europe.

Xiaomi introduced new flagship smartphones in mid-December. The devices received a top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, OLED displays, a camera from Leica, and stereo speakers. The cost of flagships starts at 3999 yuan, or about 36 thousand rubles.
