Samsung will announce the new Galaxy S23 smartphones in February 2023. This is reported by Korea JoongAng Daily.

The timing of the release of the flagship Galaxy phones was designated by an unnamed representative of the company. According to him, the new generation smartphones will be announced in February. Another source at the company confirmed that the presentation is scheduled for the first week of February, with an Unpacked event taking place in San Francisco.

According to journalists, there were earlier rumors that the Korean IT giant will introduce new Galaxy S23 smartphones at CES 2023. However, Samsung has never used CES to announce phones. Experts noted that the future presentation will be the first in several years, which will be held offline – due to the pandemic, the company announced gadgets online. In this regard, the journalists suggested, the Korean corporation is striving to hold a large and notable event.

According to rumors, the flagship smartphones of the Galaxy S23 series will be equipped with the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Also, the Galaxy S23 Ultra phone should receive a camera with a 200-megapixel lens. It is expected that the most affordable device of the line will cost $ 999, or about 60 thousand rubles, the most expensive – $ 1,199, or about 73 thousand rubles.

At the end of November, Izvestia reported that the official resumption of sales of Samsung equipment in Russia was delayed indefinitely. One of the interlocutors of the publication suggested that the Korean electronics manufacturer will return no earlier than the completion of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
