Xiaomiui: Xiaomi Mi Note 10, Mi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 8 Pro are obsolete

Xiaomi has placed several popular devices on the market in the list of obsolete smartphones (EOS). This is reported in the Xiaomiui blog.

The Chinese company has declared the Xiaomi Mi Note 10, Mi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 8 Pro models obsolete. All of these devices were introduced in 2019, the devices received system updates for three years.

The authors of the Xiaomiui blog noted that declaring devices obsolete can upset device owners – gadgets will no longer receive updates. Separately, experts noted Redmi Note 8 Pro, which received the MediaTek Helio G90T processor: “It was one of the best mid-range models of its time.” The authors also recalled that the outdated Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro was the first smartphone with a 108-megapixel camera.

Declaring phones obsolete means that smartphones will no longer receive system updates and security updates. “If you have a Xiaomi device listed as Xiaomi EOS, we recommend upgrading to a newer model,” the journalists advised.

At the end of July, Xiaomi stopped providing technical support to users of a number of popular smartphones. Mi Max 3, Mi 8 Discovery Edition, Mi Mix 3 5G, Mi Play, Redmi S2 and Redmi 6 Pro were recognized as obsolete models.
