The founder of Tesla, Elon Muskhas finally decided that it will buy the social network Twitter for 44,000 million dollars as announced last July, according to the Bloomberg agency.

Bloomberg, who quotes people who asked to remain anonymous, assures that the businessman presented the new proposal to Twitter through a letter, which will mean the payment of 54.2 dollars for each share.

After hearing the news, the company’s shares soared more than 12% and even trading activity was momentarily suspended after the sharp jump in its valuation.

Hours later, and through a cryptic message, the businessman pointed out that buying Twitter is a “accelerator for the creation of Xthe ‘app’ for everything.” Though he hasn’t offered any further details on that project, Musk could be referring to a new product he previously discussed in internal conversations with Twitter investors, according to a presentation obtained in May. by New York Times.

In that presentation, the businessman mentioned a product called X -of which no details were leaked- that he estimated could be implemented in 2023, starting with some 9 million subscribers the first year and reaching 104 million in 2028, according to his projections.

Judicial process

The billionaire has not confirmed or denied this information, which could put an end to the soap opera in which Musk and Twitter have been immersed since last summer. Nor has Twitter made a statement at the corporate level about this announcement, half an hour after the news was made public.

And it is that, in July, shortly after confirming that he would buy the online messaging, Musk reversed the transaction, arguing that he had found a substantial breach of several provisions of the agreement, including the number of false accounts recorded by the company.

In response, Twitter sued the businessman, which led to the opening of a judicial process that was scheduled to begin on October 17 in Delaware and which, supposedly, is now paralyzed.
