Telecom Daily CEO Kuskov: fast battery consumption is a sign of surveillance
Denis Kuskov, CEO of the Telecom Daily agency, named ways to recognize wiretapping on a smartphone. He spoke about them in an interview with the Prime agency.
According to him, there are several signs, upon detection of which it is worth alerting. The expert said that the rapid consumption of the phone’s battery, the arbitrary inclusion of a microphone or video camera, as well as the self-starting of programs in the background, may indicate electronic surveillance. “Such things can appear singly or in combination, the main thing is that you fix some kind of “independent” work of your smartphone at a time when you are not using it,” Kuskov explained.
He advised to analyze the installed programs independently or with the involvement of specialists. In the event of the appearance of applications unfamiliar to the owner of the phone, they should be deleted, but it is better to reset the settings and perform a complete rearrangement of the software, summed up Kuskov.
Earlier, Russians were informed about the risk of listening to conversations through a smartphone. It was clarified that phone developers have the ability to access devices remotely.
