Facebook bug shows users fake posts from people and pages they don’t follow

The platform Facebook recorded this Wednesday a failed through which it has shown the users of the social network fake posts of personal profiles and pages of famous people and celebrities whom they do not follow.

This error in the social network owned by Meta began to be noticed around the 07:00 hours this Wednesday (mainland Spain time), as collected by the DownDetector portal.

It was then that several users have noticed this failure on their corresponding walls, where they have happened images, videos and ‘memes’ that apparently did not correspond to the authorship of the owners of these accounts.

Among some of these false publications were images in a mocking tone of the creator himself and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg.

This incidence, which appears to be global, has peaked around 9:00 a.m. and it has begun to decrease in the number of cases as of 9:34, according to said portal. However, these false publications are maintained in some accounts of famous people, such as the comedian and writer Trevor Noah.
