The song “is about the secret spaces we build, where we can be ourselves, in a world that always deliberately or systematically doesn’t understand us,” explains Hawke. In the music video, she and her friends engage in an orgy, hugging each other in the depths of a dark forest until they are caught by the police.

Maya Hawke: We’re bombarded all the time with negative and fabricated body images, whether we like it or not

The five-minute video was directed by Brady Corbet (“Vox Lux”). The creators worked on it for two days in the northern part of the state of New York. On invitations to the first public screening, Hawke wrote:

We are all bombarded with negative and fabricated images of bodies all the time, whether we like it or not. The ‘art’ of sexuality that I encountered when I was growing up (honestly … still growing up) helped me break free from a culture that seems to want us all to hate ourselves and be afraid of others, right? There are many reasons to be glum these days, but it’s important to find moments of joy and take care of ourselves where and when we can these days

Due to the bold scenes and the age restrictions associated with them, the clip can only be watched directly on YouTube ().

The debut album of Maya Hawke, the daughter of Uma Thurman and Etan Hawke, will be released on September 23. It’s called “Moss”. Hawke is also expected to return in the fifth – final – season of “Stranger things”. Many fans of the production hope to have more scenes with Amybeth McNulty, who joined the cast in the fourth series as Vickie. The premiere date of new episodes of the Netflix series is not yet known.
