“Match TV”: Kirill Kaprizov will receive a deferment from military service
Russian striker Minnesota Wild Kirill Kaprizov will settle issues with the draft board in the near future. It is reported by “Match TV”.
Representatives of the National Hockey League (NHL) player are planning to submit a certificate of training to the Ufa military registration and enlistment office by the end of the week. This will resolve the issue of military service: according to the law, the forward must be granted a deferment. Kaprizov is a student of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
Earlier it was reported that Kaprizov was wanted on suspicion of purchasing a military ID. However, the father of the athlete, Oleg Kaprizov, denied the information that the hockey player had a document. He confirmed that the forward is studying at the university.
Kirill Kaprizov is an Olympic champion in the Russian national team. In 2019, he won the Gagarin Cup with CSKA. In 2021, he was recognized as the best rookie in the NHL.
