The 2022 Tour de France begins this Friday, July 1, with 176 participants who will seek the title and give victory to each of their teams, in one of the most important cycling events in the world.
The Tour de France will be long in duration, more than three weeks in which it will pass through up to four countries with stages that have different characteristics, and which will have a tough fight between the best in the world.
The 2022 Tour de France will be the 109th edition and consists of 3,328 kilometers of route, almost 100 less than the 2020 and 2021 editions, in what will be the shortest lap after the 2002 one, which was 3,278 kilometers.
Among the novelties it has is that the cyclists will visit eight regions of France and nine cities will host this competition for the first time.
The Tour starts this Friday with three straight laps, before a break on Monday, to pick up the pace with six straight stages between Tuesday and Sunday.
