Expectations grow about Neymar’s future: Lionel Messi and the Brazilian join PSG training while the controversy over the player’s possible departure continues

In the midst of the presentation of its new technical director, Christophe Galtier, the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) team received early the incorporation of the star players Leo Messi, Neymar, Marquinhos and Keylor Navas to pre-season training.

The Parisian team received their figures with physical and medical tests, before starting each one with a gym routine, the AFP agency reported.

The club had initially announced that internationals who had played games in June were expected on July 11, but several of them made an early return to the Camp des Loges.

The arrival of Neymar occurs in full controversy and hypotheses about his continuity or departure with the Parisian team.

In the middle of a press conference, coach Galtier indicated that he wants the player to continue in the team, which raises expectations of the decision that the board and the player himself will make.

Among those who arrived this Tuesday, July 5, were apart from those mentioned above, also Gianluigi Donnarumma, Leandro Paredes and the new signing Vitinha.

On Monday, several players also arrived at the training center, including Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos, Marco Verratti, Juan Bernat and Mauro Icardi.

The preparation of the Parisians for the 2022/23 season will include a friendly match against Quevilly-Rouen (L2), on July 15, and then a tour of Japan from the 16th.

The first official match is scheduled in Tel-Aviv for the Trophée des Champions, the French Super Cup, on July 31 against Nantes.
