American businessman Todd Boehly, who bought the Chelsea with a consortium of investors at the end of May, he was appointed this Wednesday as president and interim sporting director of the club, from which influential Russian manager Marina Granovskaia is leaving. Among them are Behdad Eghbali and Jose Feliciano, directors of Clearlake; Mark Walter, Boehly’s partner on the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team; Swiss tycoon Hansjörg Wyss and British millionaire Jonathan Goldstein.
One of the first tasks, and not the simplest, will be to replace Marina Granovskaia, who arrived with Abramovich in 2003.
