The Basque Football Federation (EFF-FVF) will continue to take steps to try to obtain the official status of the Euskal Selekzioadespite the answer refusal of UEFA and FIFA.
“We will continue working to achieve the goal that we set ourselves for this legislature, which is none other than that of take firm steps towards making the Basque national teams official from collaboration and consensus”, the president of the EFF-FVF, Javier Landeta, explained in a statement.
After appearing this Wednesday in the Basque Parliament, Landeta has assured that “the homework is difficult” and exceeds its functions and powers, but will continue to work in this direction.
Besides, Landeta has addressed the political formations represented in the Basque Parliament to tell them that: “It is you who have to take steps that favor this objective and, if they succeed and obtain favorable socio-political conditions, we can resubmit both applications“.
