A worker at the Pepsico company in Etxabarri Ibiña (Álava) has died as a result of a heart attack, as reported by the LAB union in a note. The operator has suffered a heart attack while working in his position, according to the abertzale union.

LAB has denounced that this is the 26th death this year in Euskal Herria due to an occupational accident, the seventh due to a non-traumatic accident.

The trade union center has shown its solidarity with the relatives, friends and co-workers of the deceased.

“It so happens that high workloads and high rhythms are reported at Pepsico. It is not surprising that, due to occupational risk factors, cardiovascular problems increase and affect quality of life,” the union criticized.

Finally, LAB has made a call to participate in the mobilizations that the Pepsico committee will organize in the next few hours.
