American billionaire Todd Boly could buy Chelsea for $4.2 billion
American billionaire Todd Boly has been named a new potential buyer of London’s Chelsea. AS reports.
The American investor is close to closing a $4.2 billion deal. Pain’s candidacy was approved by the American bank Raine Group, which accompanies the sale of the football club.
In early March, the media named Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss as a possible buyer for the club. The businessman confirmed that he had received an offer to buy Chelsea.
On February 26, Abramovich handed over the management of Chelsea to the trustees of the eponymous charitable foundation. The Russian businessman came under the sanctions of the British government.
Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003. During this time, the club became the champion of England five times and twice – the winner of the Champions League and the Europa League.
