“Villarreal got the first goal very early, but we managed to do what we needed. I can only praise Villarreal, all the athletes and the pressure imposed. They took advantage of the moment and we managed to play football again in the second half”, said the coach in an interview with TNT Sports.

The German reaches his fourth decision in the tournament in nine appearances. In 95 games, the commander won 55 wins, 15 draws and 25 losses, a 63% success rate, according to the footstats.
With yet another berth earned, Klopp has equaled Alex Ferguson, Carlo Ancelotti and Marcello Lippi as the coach with the most finals since 1993.
Ferguson was champion with Manchester United in 1999 and 2008, and took second place in 2009 and 2011. Ancelotti won with Milan in 2003 and 2007, in addition to being runner-up against Liverpool in 2005, and triumphing with Real Madrid in 2014.
Marcello Lippi, on the other hand, made history with Juventus by lifting a trophy in 1996. In the following two years and in 2013, the coach took the second highest place on the podium.
Jurgen Klopp adds two finals with Liverpool, in addition to this edition. In 2018, he was vice-president for Real Madrid. The following year, he was champion against Tottenham. For Borussia Dortmund, in 2013, he let the title slip away against Bayern Munich.
