FIFA published on Monday decisions on penalties imposed by the Disciplinary Commission for incidents that occurred during the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the first quarter of this year. He is also among the punished federations.

According to the official document of the world federation, Poland will have to pay a fine of 17,000 Swiss francs, i.e. nearly 78,000. zloty. And all this is the result of the final match of the play-offs between the Polish team and Sweden. During it, the rules of order and security were broken.

– The incursion of fans onto the pitch, firing flares, blocking the passages on the stairs and improper organization of the meeting – lists in a special document.

As Sport.pl found out, PZPN initially disagreed with some of the allegations. It is mainly about blocking the passages on the stairs. – The Disciplinary Commission, however, decided to award a penalty and it must be accepted – says Jakub Kwiatkowski, the union’s press spokesman.

The behavior of the fans was probably a result of great joy after defeating the players from “Trzy Koron” 2-0 and securing a promotion in Qatar. At the Silesian Stadium, two fans were about to invade the pitch. This is what FIFA activists want among other things.
