The guests started the match better. In the 17th minute Holubek got the ball on the left flank. He played in, and there Łukasz Trałka intervened unluckily. The ball flew to, and Grobelny, who was getting ready to leave the goal and take the ball after this throw-in, no longer had a chance to react. Warta responded in the 32nd minute, when after a lot of confusion, she was close to equalizing after a corner kick. Frantisek Plach caught the ball. A moment later, however, it turned out that this was not the end of the Gliwice inhabitants’ troubles. In the confusion at Piast’s goal, Szymonowicz was fouled. Mosór, wanting to clear the ball, hit his opponent and the referee, Daniel Stefański, after the analysis, pointed to the 11th meter. Michał Kopczyński replaced the goal. So until the break it was 1: 1, which may seem surprising, because the statistics showed that Piast did not make an accurate shot. However, Trałka saved the guests.

The guests did not need any help from Warta’s football players in the second half. This, however, started with a fantastic opportunity for the hosts, but in a one-on-one situation, Castaneda hit the post from a sharp angle. It took place in the 57th minute, and in the 66th minute this action took revenge on Warta. Chrapek’s long shot deflected Grobelny, but he was helpless in the face of Alberto Toril’s rebound. Warta, however, did not give up and in the 75th minute Adam Zrelak scored a 2: 2 goal after a series of errors in covering by the Piast defenders.

This season, when Zrelak scored a goal for Warta, Warta did not lose. Until this match. The last word belonged to the inhabitants of Gliwice. In the 82nd minute, after a free kick, the ball hit Konczkowski in front of the penalty area, who shot from a distance. The ball bounced off Szymonowicz and fell into the net. Piast won 3-2 and was close to the fourth by two points. The inhabitants of Gdańsk will play their match on Saturday against Zagłębie Lubin.
