President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner-Usmanova called Russian President Vladimir Putin the greatest person in the world. TASS reports.
According to the coach, the head of state played a role in the success of the Russians at the World Championships in Japan, supporting Dina Averina after the Tokyo Olympics. “This, too, was a great incentive for us to speak here for the sake of these words,” said Viner-Usmanova.
Dina Averina won five gold medals at the World Championships in Japan. She brought the total number of victories in world championships to 18 and broke the record of Evgenia Kanaeva, who has 17 titles.
The World Cup was held from October 27 to 31. The Russians have lost only two out of eight finals. Dina Averina won the silver medal in the ribbon exercise. A medal of the same value was won in the group exercises with three hoops and four clubs. In all other disciplines, the first were the representatives of Russia.
