The European football season is heading towards its final phase. With this, the transfer market begins to be stirred by rumors involving great players.
One of the athletes involved is forward Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian was the subject of recent news that indicated a possible departure from Manchester City.
However, after performing well for the club, including a 5-1 victory over Watford on Saturday, when he became the first Brazilian in Premier League history to score four goals in the same game, the situation may have changed.
In an interview given to the newspaper Marca, from Spain, Jesus gave away about a possible departure from the Manchester club, in addition to reinforcing his desire to continue there.
“I’ve been here for five years. I arrived very young, at 19, and both the club and the players have won many titles, but the Champions League is missing. We hit the beam in the past and this year we are in the semi-finals,” he said.
“I’m focused on the end of the season, these last games, which are all decisive. Later we will see what happens in relation to the renewal or closing of a cycle”, added Gabriel Jesus, who has a contract with City until June 2023.
In the English club since 2017, Jesus has played 230 matches for the club, having 93 goals and 46 assists in his account, in addition to important titles, such as three editions of the English Championship. However, the signing of Julian Alvárez and a possible arrival of Haaland could make life difficult for the Brazilian at the club.
