the german pilot Mick Schumacher, son of the legendary Michael Schumacher, suffered this Saturday a violent accident during the second heat (Q2) of the qualifying session of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Saudi Arabiaon the Jeddah circuit.
Mick Schumacher, 23, lost control of his Haas car at “turn 12”, in a series of rapid movements of the circuit and hit one of the walls at high speedcausing significant damage to your vehicle.
The session was interrupted by a red flag. An ambulance immediately went to the scene of the accident.
“We have heard that Mick was awarewho got out of his vehicle and was on his way to a medical center,” his Haas team wrote on Twitter shortly after the accident.
“Mick is physically in good condition, but he will be transferred by helicopter to the hospital for more precautionary checks ”, was the last report of the team.
“Thank you for all your kind messages. and good wishes after Mick’s accident,” the team posted.
For its part, the organization explained that the pilot was evaluated at the circuit medical center and that in the results no injuries revealed; however, he “was transferred to King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital, Jeddah, for precautionary checks.” (D)
