Van Vleuten accelerated in the lead on the ramps of the Wall of Huy (1.3 km at 9 percent, with ramps of 26) selecting 5 runners. He insisted until he was ahead, he opened a small gap, but Cavalli welded to his wheel. An exciting duel that the Italian solved by holding on until she released the final acceleration 100 meters from the line.
