The Ecuadorian team travels to Paraguay with the greatest hope of sealing qualification for the 2022 Qatar World Cup

The Ecuadorian soccer team undertook a trip this Sunday to Paraguay with the greatest hope of getting their ticket to the 2022 Qatar World Cup, to which they will qualify directly by adding at least one point on Guarani land.

The tricolor delegation travels by charter flight to the Paraguayan capital, Asunción, indicated the official Twitter account of the National Team.

Images released by @LaTri show Brighton players, Jeremy Sarmiento and Moisés Caicedo, and Barcelona SC players, Byron Castillo and Michael Carcelén, addressing the aircraft.

“Heading to Asuncion! Our players and coaching staff are going to board the Latam charter flight that will take them to the Paraguayan capital. On Thursday at 6:30 p.m. La Tri will face Paraguay in Ciudad del Este, ”says a tweet.

Paraguay is already eliminated from the South American qualifier, while Ecuador, third with 25 points, is one step away from achieving its ticket to the World Cup, to which Brazil and Argentina have already qualified.

La Albirroja chose the Antonio Aranda stadium in Ciudad del Este (330 km east of Asunción) on Thursday to face La Tri, for the penultimate and seventeenth round of the World Cup.
