Juventus wins the Salernitan lantern and still dreams of an Italian title

After being eliminated in the Champions League, Juventus received the Salernitan lantern this Sunday and won 2-0 in the Italian Championship. The triumph keeps alive the team’s dream of winning the tournament this season. The Old Lady reached 59 points, seven behind the leader Milan, and occupies the fourth position. There are still eight rounds left in the competition.

Juve started the match imposing their superiority and scoring high. That’s how the team opened the scoring, just after four minutes. The Serbian Vlahovic fought for the ball and served Dybala, inside the area. The Argentinian cut the marker, hit with style and swung the nets.

Massimiliano Allegri’s team kept pressing in the following minutes, always taking many players to the attack area and looking to recover balls in the offensive field.

At 28, Juventus took advantage of the superiority and extended the score. This time, Vlahovic positioned himself between the defenders and, after a cross in the area, climbed higher than the defenders and headed towards the back of the goal.

The curiosity was on account of the Brazilian Danilo, who played in the midfield, as a defensive midfielder, and managed at various times to recover the ball and trigger the attacking players. Recently summoned to the Brazilian National Team, Arthur made a discreet start.

In the second stage, the Old Lady adopted a conservative stance and seemed to just want to keep the result. Salernitana, however, imposed difficulties on the home team and demanded that goalkeeper Szczęsny make good saves.

Veteran Ribéry was also on the field for Salernitana. The Frenchman came on in the second half, but took little part in the match.

Despite the fall in the final stretch, Juve knew how to contain the impetus of the opponent and guaranteed the victory.

Juventus’ next commitment is against Inter Milan, in a decisive duel in the fight for the national title. The game takes place on April 3, after the FIFA date.
