Malwina Smarzek is one of the best Polish volleyball players in recent years. This season he plays in Russia. And although the troops of Vladimir Putin have been conducting military operations in Ukraine for more than three weeks, the Polish woman remained in the Kaliningrad Lokomotiv team.
Smarzek was and is criticized for it.
– Malwina will leave Russia for sure, 100 percent, regardless of the consequences – the player’s agent, Jakub Dolata, tells us now.
When will Smarzek leave the club openly supporting the barbaric actions of Putin’s troops?
– The problem is that Malwina is now in Siberia. We are trying to get her out of there as soon as possible. But the network of connections from Russia is now very limited – explains Dolata.

We ask the agent of Malwina Smarzek why the player has not terminated the contract with Lokomotiv so far. Why did she play for the Russian club so far.
– The situation has changed dramatically. There were no legal arguments to terminate the contract. Now we have them, so Malwina returns to Poland – says Dolata.
The manager emphasizes that he and the volleyball player will not be stopped by the threat that Smarzek will lose all the money guaranteed by her contract with Lokomotiv. – Money is not important. In this situation, money plays no role. The only real point is that, until the publication of these photos, we had no legal arguments to terminate the contract and our lawyers emphasized that in order to do so, we must be concerned about compensation trials, civil cases in Russia and at the CAS tribunal. This is because the club was fully fulfilling its obligations and we could not prove the club’s guilt in the situation in any way – emphasizes Dolata.
They tried amicably. “We are no longer interested in their request”
As we learn, Smarzek, through the actions of her agents (Dolata and the manager from Russia), has been trying to amicably terminate the contract with the Russian club for two weeks now.
– The locomotives’ bosses asked Malwina to stay two more weeks and she would be a free competitor from Monday, March 21, if the war situation had not changed. But at the moment we are no longer interested in their request. I emphasize that we are doing everything to ensure that Malwina leaves as soon as possible – concludes Jakub Dolata
