Some games and the achievements they contain can surprise the most dedicated players, not to mention people with disabilities who do not have such good motor skills. For Rocky Stountenburgh, challenges are nothing but the motivation behind them, as proven in Apex Legends.
Objective: to achieve a high rank
Rocky Stoutenburgh is better known under the pseudonym RockyNoHands. He runs streams on Twitch on a daily basis, where he is supported by the esports organization Luminosity. The player set himself a small challenge – achieving the rank of Diamond in Apex Legends.
The diamond rank is the third best possible rank, and even for healthy people, achieving it is quite a challenge. RockyNoHands is a disabled person and uses his mouth to play. It is with them that he guides his character, giving her all the commands.
Challenge fulfilled
RockyNoHands did his job and hit Diamond on March 17th. Streamer does not intend to give up, but to continue the game in the fight for higher ranks – Master and Predator. Stoutenburgh is determined to pursue his own goals, which is perfectly illustrated by the two world records he has achieved: the most Fortnite wins and the most Fortnite elimination using a mouth-controlled joystick.
Rocky is not the only streamer with a disability to break down his barriers while streaming on Twitch. In recent weeks, there has been a lot of noise about the HanDcapableSean. This one focuses on going through extremely demanding games, and has recently targeted the latest production from FromSoftware, Elden Ring.
