Jagiellonia Białystok is below expectations this season. The club is placed 12th in the table and only six points clear of the relegation zone. Piotr Nowak’s players have not won any match for over a month. What’s more – as reported by “PS” also the financial situation of the club looks bad.
It turns out the club has a loss of 10 million. As the president of Jagiellonia said, Wojciech Pertkiewicz, it results, among others, from “missed transfers of the club and the lack of incoming transfers.” – The club’s income is also a match day, and here it is little money, if there are any specific amounts at all. This is due to the surprisingly unfavorable in Polish conditions agreement for the functioning of the club at the stadium, which significantly reduces the possibility of earning income from the match day – emphasized the former president of Arka Gdynia.
Now, according to “Przegląd Sportowy”, the players were not supposed to receive salaries for the past month. Although, as the former president of Jagiellonia said a few months ago, and now the head of the Polish Football Association – Cezary Kulesza, the club is in good financial condition. – Finance is there, so are opportunities. The club is not left on the ice with millions of debts. There is no need to fill in the holes – Kulesza explained in an interview with Onet.
Jagiellonia lost the last match at home to Wisła Płock 0: 1. On Saturday, “Duma Podlasia” will play with the favorite for the championship – Lech Poznań. The match will be played on March 19 at 20.30.
