“Match TV”: Ukraine invited the Minister of Sports of Canada to revoke visas of Russian NHL players
Canadians reacted to Ukraine’s proposal to revoke visas for Russian hockey players playing in the National Hockey League (NHL). It is reported by “Match TV” with reference to the Minister of Sports of the country Pascal Saint-Onge.
ChargĂ© d’Affaires of the Ukrainian Embassy in Ottawa Andriy Bukvich has asked the Canadian government to stop issuing visas and work permits to Russian athletes. In response, the Canadian side stated that it shares the concerns of the international community and will influence the organizations funded by the country. Match TV emphasizes that the NHL, which is a private league, does not belong to them, which means that Russians will be able to obtain visas.
