On Tuesday morning, the Denmark team announced the call-up for the friendlies against Netherlands and Serbia, and the big news was the return of Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen, who will return to defending his country after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest.
The scare happened last year, in a duel between Denmark and Finland, for the group stage of the Eurocup. This was the last time the player was on the field for the national team.
Eriksen then had to undergo surgery to place an internal defibrillator. However, due to medical restrictions of the Italian Championship, the athlete can no longer play for Inter Milan, due to the use of the device.
The player was out of action for months, until signing for Brentford, from England, in January this year. The contract is valid only until the end of the current season.
The confrontation against the Dutch takes place on March 26, away from home. The match against the Serbs takes place on the 29th, at Parken Stadium, in Copenhagen, the same place where Eriksen had the sudden illness.
