Tom Brady announces his return to the NFL at age 44 | Other Sports | sports

Just six weeks after retiring from football, the legendary Tom Brady reversed his decision and announced Sunday that he will return to the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at age 44.

“These last two months I have realized that my place is still on the pitch and not in the stands. That moment will come. But it’s not now, “said the considered best player in the history of the NFL.

“I love my teammates and my family, who support me. They make everything possible. I will be back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business,” she advanced.

Brady accompanied the message with a photo in which he appears with his Tampa teammates on the field and another of his wife, the Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen, and their children.

On February 1, and after weeks of speculation about his future, Brady announced his decision to bring down the curtain on an unparalleled 22-season career and a record seven Super Bowl titles.

“I have loved my career in the NFL, and now is the time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention,” he said then.

Until that moment, the ‘quarterback’ had never ruled out reaching 45 years of active service.

The Buccaneers and the NFL itself quickly celebrated the return of the star on their social networks. (D)
