Midfielder Juan Mata may have his future defined in the coming days. According to information from England’s The Sun, Manchester United intends to offer a position on the club’s coaching staff to the player if he decides to retire at the end of the season.
Currently 33 years old, the Spaniard has a contract with United until June this year, but a probable negotiation to renew the contract has not yet been disclosed.
Recently, the European press even mentioned the interest of Betis, Valencia and Real Sociedad in repatriating the athlete, but the possibility of a retirement is not ruled out.
With passages through the base of Real Madrid, the athlete gained prominence when he defended Valencia and Chelsea.
Juan Mata arrived at Old Trafford in 2014. Since then, he has played 277 games, scored 51 goals and won important titles with the Red Devils shirt, such as the Europa League, FA Cup and English League Cup.
