FISU suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from the 2022 Universiade in Chengdu
The leadership of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) announced the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions under the auspices of the organization. This is reported on the FISU website.
The suspension will be in effect until at least the end of 2022. Due to the imposed sanctions, Russian and Belarusian athletes will miss the Summer Universiade in Chengdu, China, which will be held from June 26 to July 7.
