The fall of a drone in Zagreb is a clear threat to all NATO countries, said Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic. He urged the alliance to raise the level of readiness.

The head of government clarified that the Soviet-made Strizh Tu-141, launched on the territory of Ukraine, fell down, RIA Novosti reports. At the same time, Moscow and Kyiv deny their involvement in the incident.

“This points to the need for closer cooperation within NATO. This situation should not happen again… We will work to ensure that… such devices are destroyed in a safe place, and not fall in a densely populated part of the city,” the prime minister stressed.

In turn, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said that the NATO joint command in Spain was supposed to respond to the accident, but it did not have time to do this and transfer the data to Croatia.

Earlier, versions appeared in the media that the Soviet Strizh drone could have crashed in Zagreb, and this happened due to the “human factor”, but not due to malicious intent.
