UFC fighter Gilbert Burns admitted that he expects war from the fight against Khamzat Chimaev
Brazilian mixed martial artist (MMA) Gilbert Burns shared his expectations from the upcoming fight with Chechen athlete Khamzat Chimaev. The interview with the Brazilian was published on the Helen Yee Sports YouTube channel.
Burns, 35, will face Chimaev at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament. “I think I have something to counter his game. I know how to defend against passes to the legs, I can respond in shock. I want a real war. It will not be easy for me or for him, ”admitted the Brazilian.
The fight between Chimaev and Burns will take place at the UFC 273 tournament. The event will take place on April 9th. The last time the Brazilian fought was in the summer when he defeated American Stephen Thompson.
On October 30, Chimaev achieved his fourth victory in the UFC. The Chechen forced the Chinese fighter Li Jingliang to surrender at an event in Abu Dhabi. Chimaev has never lost in professional MMA. He has ten victories in ten fights.
