Viner called Norway’s proposal to allow juniors and children to tournaments an important step
Irina Viner-Usmanova, President of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (VFCG), appreciated Norway’s proposal to make an exception in the removal of Russian athletes from international competitions. Her words are quoted by RT.
Wiener called the proposal to allow juniors and children to tournaments an important step. “Moreover, juniors are considered up to 15 years old, and this is already a serious age,” she considered, adding that in gymnastics, athletes will be able to prepare for the Olympic Games.

Earlier, on March 12, Norway stated that it supported the disqualification of Russian and Belarusian athletes, but called for juniors and children to be allowed to compete. In their opinion, mass sports should develop in Russia.
On February 28, the International Olympic Committee called for the non-admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international competitions. After that, most of the sports federations of the world refused to allow the Russians and Belarusians to the tournaments.
