A successful performance by Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel. Polka once again in the top ten

Petra Vlhova in impressive style won the Friday giant slalom in the Swedish Arena. For Sowaczka, who won the gold medal in slalom in Beijing, this winter’s first giant win. The second place was taken by Woszka Marta Bassino, and the third was the American Mikaela Shiffrin.

The only Polish competitor – – took only the fourteenth position after the first round. They lost 2.53 seconds to Sowaczka. The competition on the Swedish slope was, however, difficult for many competitors. The stars Federica Brignone and Katharina Liensberger did not finish the first run.

In the final, Polka did much better, although after her ride she will not take the lead. At that time, the leader was Franziska Gritsch, who finally finished the competition on the 6th place. She was promoted by 19 positions! Maryna, who was once again in the top ten, moved up by four positions.

Before the last giant of the season to be played at the P-finals in Courchevel, Gsienica-Daniel is ninth in the competition’s standings. The leader is Sara Hector, who did not finish her second run on Friday. The second is Tessa Worley and the third.

In the general classification of P, Maryna Gsienica-Daniel is in 33rd place. At the head of Mikaela Shiffrin, who is only 77 points ahead. The Owl is defending a large Crystal Ball. Federica Brignone is third.
