One of such actions was the April Fool’s Day joke in 2018, which replaced modern Pokemon graphics with eight-bit, known from older versions of the game, to the already old Nintendo portable consoles.

Such an initiative came from a Reddit user under the pseudonym ffturb0. The entry in a special section devoted to Pokemon GO gathered nearly six thousand positive opinions, which makes it popular. The opinions posted also support the idea of the author of the post.
April Fool’s Day is fast approaching. Who knows, maybe the developers, inspired by the feedback from the players, will bring back the classic image of pocket creatures to the game and keep it as an optional solution?
