The Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) received this Tuesday two separate Appeals filed by the Russian Football Union (FUR), against the decisions taken on February 28, 2022 by the Bureau of the Council of the FIFA and the Executive Committee of the UEFA to suspend all Russian teams and clubs from participation in their respective competitions until further notice.
According to the CAS, the appeal filed against FIFA is directed against this UEFAthe Football Association of Polandthe Football Association of Sweden, the Football Association of the Czech Republicthe Football Association of Montenegrin and the Football Association of Malt.
And the one presented against UEFA is also directed against the federations of Greece, Belarus, Denmark, Luxembourg, Austria, Malta, Portugal, England, Spain, Ireland and France.
in your resources, the FUR requests the court to annul the contested decisions and that reinstate all teams and clubs russians its participation in FIFA and UEFA competitions. Along with each appeal statement, the FUR has also submitted a request to stay the execution of each contested decision.
The CAS informs that two separate arbitration procedures have been initiated and, in accordance with the Sports Arbitration Code, it will require the version of the parties sued by the FUR. (D)
