Ancelotti bets on Real Madrid’s intensity to cancel out PSG trio

In a press conference this Tuesday, before the decisive duel against PSG for the return game of the round of 16 of the Champions League this Wednesday, Carlos Ancelotti bet on the intensity of the Real Madrid as a fundamental weapon to nullify the trio Messi, Neymar and Mbappé, and consequently conquer the classification for the next phase.

“The plan is the same for everyone: Messi, Neymar, Mbappé. Put intensity, be a block. Make a complete and smart game. We cannot go crazy, we have to win, not score. Just win one game. It doesn’t matter if we book early or late. We have to win,” he said.

In addition, Ancelotti was asked about the lessons that can be learned from the first duel, where a lackluster Real Madrid team lost 1-0 and was dominated by PSG.

“We didn’t manage to do what we planned. We suffered a lot from their high pressure and we weren’t able to build attacking opportunities. Defensively, the low block did well, but with the ball we have to improve,” he said.

The coach of the Spanish club was also incisive about the possibility of Toni Kroos, one of the mainstays of the team, playing or not in the match, after being injured in training last week.

“A player who is not at 100% cannot play this kind of game. If Kroos is at 100% he will play, if he is at 95% he will not.”

In addition to him, Ancelotti already has two more certain absences, as Casemiro and Mendy received the third yellow card and are suspended.
