Ainhoa ​​Tirapu de Goñi has made public today through a statement that will be presented to the presidency of the Women’s League together to Dolores Martelli under the motto “United for Football”. This is the first application independent and led entirely by women with the aim of “seeking common goals” so that it has “sustainable and stable growth”.

Born in Pamplona on September 4, 1984, Tirapu is a former soccer player who debuted in the Superliga with the SD Lagunak in the 2003-04 season. In 2005 he joined the ranks of Athletic Cluba team in which she played for 15 seasons until ending her sports career in the 2019-20 season, becoming one of the most successful players in the history of women’s Athletic with 358 games played.

It is currently goalkeeping coach of the rojiblanco club.

While waiting to know the electoral process and in the search to avoid rumours, the pre-candidacy, since the term to present the different proposals has not yet been opened, is based on the experience inside and outside the field of Ainhoa ​​and Dolores. Seeks the development of women’s football through consensus and inclusion
based on the trust, independence and knowledge of its promoters.

Ainhoa ​​Tirapu, twice League champion with Athletic Club and 46 caps, has a degree in Chemistry and began her career at SD Lagunak. Two seasons later, she joined Athletic Club with whom she established herself and she played from 2005 to 2020. Currently, she is still linked to the Biscayan club as a goalkeeper coach.

Dolores Martelli has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and sporting events. In particular, the last five years he has devoted entirely to
work and develop women’s football. First at Iberdrola, as responsible for the sponsorship of women’s football, and later at the Royal Spanish Federation of
Soccer as director of Women’s Soccer.

Two independent women with proven experience and fervent defenders of diversity in all senses and in all fields, lead “United for Football”.
Its goal is to develop the Women’s Professional Soccer League and make up for lost time in recent seasons by uniting the public and private efforts that
allow us to achieve a competitive and sustainable League”.
