Yesterday’s success of Anonymo Esports was widely echoed, arousing very positive emotions in Polish CS: GO fans. Finally, Poland will have a representative in the fight for a place in the most prestigious tournament on the Counter Strike stage – Major. This, however, was only the first step on the long road to the goal. Today, the Poles met their rivals, with whom they will fight for a place at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. In both groups, into which 32 teams were divided, the competition promises to be extremely interesting.
Fate turned out to be quite favorable
Anonymo was quite lucky in the draw. The Poles went to Group B, which looks a bit weaker compared to Group A. Among the fifteen teams that were included with the Polish squad, there are certainly those whose defeating is within the range of Anonymo.
G2 Esports, Gambit and Ninjas in Pajamas are the leaders. The more renowned teams include Astralis, Entropiq, Copenhagen Flames, and even ENCE, which includes two Poles – Paweł “dycha” Dycha and Olek “hades” Mi¶kiewicz.
After all, Anonymo is the second lowest seeded team in the world rankings in the entire group. Only five of the Turkish Sangal fares worse in this respect. So the struggle will be a unique, demanding test. It is even difficult to put forward any bold thesis, because Poles have not competed at this level for a long time.
It will be even hotter in Group A
The real group of deaths, however, will be the former. It includes as many as six representatives of the top ten in the world rankings. Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, Heroic, Vitality and some other top brands in the CS: GO scene. All thrown into one cauldron where they will fight against each other. The first sixteen also includes a Polish accent, Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski. Before his OG a very difficult task.
