132 rooms, 157 suspects. One body in the White House. New Netflix series

Shonda Rhimes and her longtime partner from the Shondaland studio, Betsy Beers (who worked together on the series “The Surgeons”), will be executive producers of “The Residence”. It is supposed to be a mystery drama inspired by Kate Anderson Brower’s book “The Residence. The Secret Life of the White House”. In the description of the book published in Poland in 2016 by the Znak Social Publishing Institute, you can read:

“Enter the house where the future US president will live. What secrets are the Kennedy, Reagan, Bush and Obama families hiding? What does the US president do when the mansion door is closed behind him? How much truth is there in House of Cards? Only the residence employees know all the secrets of the world’s most guarded home Presidential families come and go – it’s not just the staff that changes, but the butlers and maids are revealing the backstage of everyday life in the White House, remembering how they tried to avoid Kennedy’s office when he was cheating on his beautiful wife Jackie. They talk about 9/11 from a perspective no one has ever known. They reveal what Michelle Obama is doing to give her daughters a “normal life”. “

New Netflix Series – Murder in the White House

Kate Anderson Brower is a journalist who spent four years at the White House. Her book inspired the writers of the eight-episode series in which the authors want to tell about a mysterious murder. The showrunner will be Paul William Davies, who previously worked with Shondaland on “Scandal”.

The official description of Netflix’s production by The Hollywood Reporter is as follows:

132 rooms. 157 suspects. One body. One wildly eccentric detective. One disastrous state dinner. ‘Residence’ is a twisted detective story set upstairs, downstairs and in the back of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world’s most famous residence.

There is no release date for the series yet.
