It is over. The famous Japanese ski jumper ends his career

Megmilk Snow club announced on Monday that the 36-year-old jumper would end his professional career after this season. This season, the jumper from Japan took part in each of the World Cup competitions and he managed to enter the second round eight times. And his best position is eighth place, with the Japanese announced that Ito’s final start in his career is to be in a national competition that will be held on March 19.

Four wins in the World Cup and 17 podiums

Daiki Ito has been a very sure point for the Japanese team over the years. In 2014, the jumper even reached the bronze medal of the Olympic Games in the team competition. He has also collected five World Cup medals in his career, and has won the World Cup four times. In total, he stood on the podium of the World Cup seventeen times. To this you have to add 11 podiums of the World Cup in team competitions.

Probably every ski jumping fan remembers Daiki Ito’s jump, who went down in the history of ski jumping.
